Help Families Find the Right Fit

The Truth-in-Listing Commitment

At Elder Care Together, our mission is built on trust. When a family searches this directory, they are often in a state of high stress or emotional vulnerability. They rely on the information provided here to make one of the most important decisions of their lives. Because of this, we require all service providers who list their centers—or verify the information we have gathered—to commit to the following standards of Accuracy, Integrity, and Transparency.

1. Accuracy of Care Levels

Providers must only check boxes for services they are actively equipped to provide.

  • Example: Do not tick “24/7 Nursing Care” if you do not have a Registered Nurse (SRN) or trained medical staff on-site at all times.
  • Example: Do not tick “Specialist Recovery” if you do not have the specific medical equipment (oxygen, suction, wound care kits) required for high-dependency residents.

2. Licensing & Legal Transparency

We believe in “Total Transparency.” Providers must be honest about their current licensing status with the Ministry of Health (KKM) or the Social Welfare Department (JKM).

  • If a license is currently “In Progress,” it must be stated as such.
  • Providing false licensing information will result in immediate and permanent removal from this directory.

3. Photo Integrity

Photos uploaded to your listing must be current and representative of the actual facility.

  • Please avoid using “stock photos” of luxury hospitals or rooms that do not exist at your Sarawak location.
  • Families expect to see the real environment where their parents will live.

4. Cultural & Language Claims

If you claim to be “Halal-Friendly” or “Dialect-Friendly (Hokkien/Iban/etc.),” please ensure your staff and kitchen truly reflect these capabilities. These are essential comfort factors for our elders.

5. Our “Verify & Update” Right

As a volunteer-led directory, Elder Care Together reserves the right to:

  • Verify claims against public records and Google Maps data.
  • Update or remove a listing if community feedback or on-site visits suggest the information is misleading.
  • Highlight listings that have been “Verified by Provider” to reward those who are transparent.
